Get to know Pulmonologist and Critical Care Physician Dr. William C. Cole II, who serves patients in Lima, Ohio.

Dr. Cole II is a fellowship-trained pulmonologist and critical care physician specializing in the needs of critically ill patients. He is the Director of the ICU at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. His areas of expertise include extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, central line placement, Swan-Ganz catheterization, endobronchial ultrasound bronchoscopy, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pulmonary critical care, pulmonary hypertension, and pulmonology. In 1996, Dr. Cole II earned his medical degree from the James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University. He then went on to perform his residency and fellowship in pulmonary disease at the same educational venue in 1998 and 2000, respectively. A member of the American College of Chest Physicians, he is double board-certified in pulmonary disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
